Machine Embroidery & Yo-Yo's

I finally got my Internet back. It's been more off than on for over a week. Now I'm playing catch up with e-mail's & comments left on my blog. But with the computer down time I got the 2 front flower beds cleaned out & helped my husband clean up the horse pastures. Then I took a good look at my favorite embroidered Denim shirts & they are starting to look pretty raggedy, so thought it was time to make some more! Way back in 2001 Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine had this shirt featured using Sue Box embroidery designs from the "Golden Classic" collection. It took me longer to find the magazine again than to do the embroidery. But I really like how it's turning out. Only 1 more motif to go.

And while I sit there waiting to change threads I'm making purple & pink Yo-Yo's for 2 Coverlets to be raffled off. The pink one will raise money for the local Breast Cancer Survivors group & the purple one is in support of the Mahoney House, a shelter for abused women & children. I love gadget's & now I had a reason to buy the new Yo-Yo maker by Clover. I promised to make at least 50 Yo-Yo's & they are going fast!!!

The embroidery you've done on your jacket is just awesome, I am so impressed with it! I like the yo yos too, but I hate making them!
