Lazy Sunday Afternoon & EQ

I'm spending the day enjoying to warm weather, making brownies & playing in EQ. I figured after the last 12 days of painting & cleaning I deserve it! I don't know if anyone would be crazy enough to want to piece this block but I liked it. I'm calling it Indian Summer & here is the quilt I designed from it. Just look at all those pieced borders! Most of it can be foundation paper pieced & curved piecing really is not all that bad after a little practice. Just give me a day or so & I will share the pattern. Happy Summer!

The quilt is beautiful. It does look time consuming to piece, but I could see myself just skipping those complicated borders. It would still be pretty.
I just got the EQ6 upgrade and am hoping to learn to use it well enough to design my quilts with it.
Did you teach yourself or take any classes?

This is gorgeous! But a little to advanced for me. I love it though. It would be pretty with a simpler pieced star block too.
