My daughter Hannah helped me make these 25 Wonky Star blocks to send to Australia for the Bush Fire quilt project. They went together so fast, with me sewing & Hannah trimming & pressing! While helpful Hannah was admiring the blocks she said "you know they are getting a ton of blocks, I think we should put this top together so they don't have too, Soooooo.....
here's the top. It's off in the mail on Monday, wrinkles & all.

There are several Bushfire Quilt projects going on right now, I chose this one because the star blocks looked fast, fun & easy to make & they were!
And in other news:
Judy at Patchwork Times has challenged us to make a quilt top totally from your fabric stash. She said you should be able to find your fabric
in 5 minutes or so! Well I think I almost cheated because I was given a stack of 30 Fossil Ferns fat quarters 4 years ago when I was working for a Bernina dealer. They were just sitting there all together on my cutting mat with big chunks taken out from making Wonky Stars so I thought why not!! Here are all my cut pieces.

Great stars and I love that border!
Very generous of you to donate the Wonky Stars quilt. I might have had a hard time letting it go though...LOL. Nothing wrong with cheating on the stash quilt--if you love it, use it!
Your wonky star quilt turned out so nice and I love the border too. Great donation quilt!
