Back on line!

Well we are here, surrounded by boxes. My husband drove a U-haul truck down with some of our stuff. The BIG truck we were supposed to have somehow was rented out by mistake. So we had to use a 17 foot which means another trip. My daughter drove down with 400 lbs. of dog in her car (you should have seen the looks when we open the hatch of her Subaru Outback & 4 large dogs came out) & I drove down with the computer, sewing & embroidery machines, all the pictures & breakables & one very upset cat. He howled for 500 miles. Once I stuck my finger through the travel carrier to comfort him & he bite me! Thank goodness, he has settled in. Then we turned around & brought down the 2 horses. What fun!!! We still have boxes laying around, but the computer is up & connected to Internet again. I love my new sewing space. It's 15' x 25" with 3 windows. It needs a little more light for winter sewing, but that's easy to add. Part of my sewing paraphernalia is still in Salmon & my big cutting counter. Hopefully we can get it soon. Ely is a big change from Salmon. But with my arthritis, the dryer climate will be good. I hit the Dollars store today & spent $70.00 after the coupon discounts. Other than that & the grocery store I'm still finding my way around. Moving is so much fun...

Welcome back. I look forward to exploring your new home with you through your blog. We're still trying to sell our house here in the UK - the housing market is very, very depressed so we've not chosen a good time to sell.

I can sympathize with you, I know how much fun moving can be, I never had the luxury of hiring someone to move me. When I was married we moved every 2 or 3 years, what a pain. I'm glad you are back on line. I hope you find a lot of new quilt friends
